John & Kellyn Sliwinski are the founders & owners of Plum Tree Homes Inc.  Through their business they are looking to serve the community and be a positive influence within the housing industry here in Alaska. They are a husband and wife team that thoroughly enjoy working together and serving others.
   John was born in the windy city of Chicago, Illinois and raised in Ohio. His experience with carpentry began many years ago in the States of Ohio and Florida. While attending Ohio State University he worked for local builders as a journeyman/foreman carpenter. He belonged to the Carpenters Union and has thirty plus years of building experience.  John moved to our great State of Alaska in 1988.

  Kellyn was born and raised in the beautiful State of Michigan, thus where the two have derived some of the names for their buildings. The Mackinaw and The Grand Haven are not only great names, but truly unique and wonderful places to live or visit. Kellyn move to Alaska after college in 1992.

  After residing in rural Alaska for more than a decade the couple decided to bring their family "to town." They moved to Anchorage in 1999 and John began flying C-130's for Lynden Air Cargo.

  In 2001, John became a licensed general contractor holding a residential endorsement for the State of Alaska. Plum Tree Homes was born and became a licensed business of Alaska. The name Sliwinski means dweller under the Plum Tree.
   John & Kellyn have immensely enjoyed working with the local community meeting new people and families. Like most companys Plum Tree has a goal or a motto.  Theirs is Serving With Honesty and Integrity. For them, these are not just words to stand by, rather words to live by. The two rely on their faith to guide them in life.  "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."  Psalm 119:105

  The Sliwinskis strive to deliver the very best of  themselves their company and within their final product. They set a standard above the norm and make sure that standard is upheld throughout every step of the building process.
